Today I purchased, at a used bookstore, a copy of the Origin of Species, because I'm an elitist intellectual snob and it seemed like the kind of thing I should have. On the first blank page at the front, someone wrote the following:

Exploding taco shop. My life, it is complete!

I spent the weekend playing for a production of Hansel and Gretel which featured an Elvis impersonator named Zeus as Mitch (=the witch), who sells pot brownies out of his bakery in the downtown east side. There is no limit to the amount of surreality my life is capable of, apparently

I often feel sheepish about my sense of humour, and because of this I tend to suppress it somewhat when I'm around people I don't know well, and who I am unsure will see eye-to-eye with me on the whole category of "amusing."
